Dear Sheila

You were very dedicated to your work at St Mary's and to other causes in the Anglican Church and elswhere. You were 'unique'! There will be no more that voice calling out as I enter St Mary's: "HI THERE". Every time I walk through the church yard, I will look across beyond the gate to the small wood through to your cottage (St Mary's Cottage) and remember the times I would get the bus to play the organ for a service - the bus getting to the church gates well before the time of the service - you had often told me to come over to your Cottage - have a mug of tea. On many occasions, AFTER a service, I would spend time in your kitchen sitting in front of the fire drinking tea, eating your apple pie (albeit a little too much use of the sugar - uh-hu-hu!) and cheese, while we chatted, listening to you talk about this and that of 'life at St Mary's' - and your 'putting it to right' (m-m-m, yy-e-s-s well ....). God bless you, dear Sheila. You were very welcoming to me, encouraging and obliging. I will always remember you.
