POOLE Michael Passed away peacefully on June 24th, 2016, in Malton Hospital after a long illness aged 89 years. Beloved Husband of Joan, much loved father of Veronica, Sheila and Judith, grandfather of six and great-grandfather of four. Funeral service to be held at Scarborough Crematorium on Monday, July 11th, at 2.00p.m. Family flowers only please, donations if so desired to Malton Hospital League of Friends and St. Peter's Norton Bell Tower Appeal. Just received my copy of last weeks Gazette & Herald and sorry to read about Mikes death. I was in his woodwork class at Lady Lumleys in the 70's. My own father even put Mikes skills to the test with a very spring floor above the cellar at Potter Hill in the mid 1960s. My overriding memory was of his jet black hair which I was never quite sure was natural or a result of Grecian 2000 (or its equivalent). None the less, happy memories of another of my former teachers. Hope the family have many, many happy memories of a life well lived.
