WHEN Steven Spielberg was directing Jaws he had so many problems that he knew he was nearing his last chance of ever making another film, let alone becoming well known.
By staring at the problem he was, in fact creating more complications for himself. He began to ask questions about fear and came up with a solution that truly terrifies audiences.
This book challenges you to look at difficult circumstances through a fresh outlook; born leaders are those who think for themselves and follow their own voice; they concentrate on the solution first rather than the problem.
David Niven, a psychologist and social scientist, gives us various real-life examples and how his advice has worked for them, making us understand why problem solving is good for us. Although American based, these are examples we can all relate to and make us ask questions of ourselves. It is an exciting book that should help in any situation.
