A TRIP to Northallerton Equestrian Centre’s showjumping competition proved worthwhile for one teenager.
Lucy Gilsenan, 15, from Staintondale, managed to win three of the classes on offer earlier this month.
Lucy was making her debut on Quiqui, an eight year old chestnut mare, who she has only been working with for six weeks.
Midsummer Madness was also on the ball for Lucy in the pony 85 and 95cms where they fought off some stiff competition.
The results were:
65cms ponies: 1 Lucy Plummer and Isla.
65cms under 12 years: 1 Jasmin Guy and Crispin, 2 Cat Gill and Jemmy, 3 Annie Walker and Harry, 4 William Brown and Sox, 5 Harry Cunningham and DJ.
75cms: 1 Pippa Brown and Amy Rose, 2 Helen Mallen and Indie, 3 Georgina Vincente and Rocko, 4 Melissa Sly and Acora.
85cms horses: 1 Melissa Sly and Acora, 2 Taylor Elgar and Clover, 3 Izzy Rae and Darcy, 4 Lorraine Maudley, 5 Lucy Gilsenan and Quiqui.
85cms ponies: 1 Lucy Gilsenan and Midsummer Madness, 2 Caitlin Winspear and Celine, 3 Sophie Walker and Kristoff, 4 George Atkinson and Assy, 5 Georgina Vincente and Rocko.
95cms ponies: 1 Lucy Gilsenan and Midnight Madness, 2 Izzy Rae and Darcy, 3 Sinna Silvannenen and Lowhill Dancing Queen.
95cms horses: 1 Lucy Gilsenan and Quiqui, 2 Cassie Ramsey, 3 Caitlin Winspear and Celine.
