FRIARS Hill Stables, in Sinnington, held the last of their showjumping competitions for this year with a plenty of good competition in the rounds on offer.
Fiona Hardman, riding Buster, put up a good turn-of-foot to take a second place in the 45cms, sixth in the 55cms, second in the 85cms – just being pipped to the post by Pippa Brown riding Amy Rose – and a very quick jump off round to be unbeatable in the 75cms.
Pippa Brown and mount Amy Rose were in flying form to take home champions of the 65 and 85cms classes, just beating Fiona Hardman by seconds.
Young jockey Saskia Brookes is finding her feet on grey pony Fergus, having only had him for eight weeks, where the pair managed a very good third place in the Chase Me Santa and a fourth in the 85cms.
Friars Hill Stables’ next competition will be an indoor cross country competition immediately on Monday, December 30.
Alison Brown, the owner of Friars Hill, wishes to thank all those who have supported them during this past year.
“I wish everyone a very merry Christmas and look forward to seeing them all again in 2014,” she said.
