NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC DIVERSION ORDER

HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY FOOTPATH 10 LEVISHAM DIVERSION ORDER 2011

On 1st August 2012 the North York Moors National Park Authority confirmed (without any modification) the above Order made under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the footpath on the bank south and southeast of Levisham Village to a new line closer the the village. A concurrent Creation Order will establish three linking footpaths, all as shown on the Order map. A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Pickering Library, The Ropery, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 8DY until 10th October 2012. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost either there or by contaction Scarboroug Borough Council, Legal and Support Services (File Ref: RLJ/EC20/74), Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, YO11 2HG (tel 01723 232323) The Order came into force on 1st August 2012 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained within it, on the ground that it was not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulations made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 29th August 2012, make an application to the High Court.
