(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF STRUCTURAL WEIGHT LIMIT) (KIRKHAM BRIDGE, KIRKHAM) ORDER 2016 NO 484
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 - Section 14(1) (as amended)
North Yorkshire County Council has made this Order to prohibit any heavy commercial vehicle, with the exception of winter maintenance vehicles, from using Kirkham Bridge, Kirkham, in the District of Ryedale, for a temporary period (subject to access to premises) between 8th November 2016 and 17th April 2018, because of the need to protect the fabric of the bridge whilst at the same time allowing winter maintenance operations. The suspension period will apply as indicated by the placing of traffic signs and a local alternative route for HCVs affected by this Order, will be signed on site where appropriate. This suspension will follow on from the emergency suspension notice: "North Yorkshire County Council (Temporary Suspension of Structural Weight Limit) (Kirkham Bridge, Kirkham) Emergency Notice No 128" which ends on the 7th November 2016.
The following Order: "North Yorkshire County Council (Prohibition of Vehicles in excess of 13 Tonnes Maximum Gross Weight) (Kirkham Bridge) Order 2016" is hereby suspended for the duration of this Order.
