NOTICE OF APPROVAL THE COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE LEVY (CIL) CHARGING SCHEDULE

Planning Act 2008 (as amended) Community Infrastructure Levy Regulations 2010 (as amended) Regulation 25: Approval and Publication of a Charging Schedule. The Community Infrastructure Levy is a new mandatory charge which is applied to certain forms of development in accordance with the approved CIL Charging Schedule, and the CIL Regulations (2010) as amended. The money collected is spent on various infrastructure projects in the District to support development in the District. The Ryedale District Council CIL Charging Schedule was approved for use by a meeting of Council on the 14 January 2016. The Charge will be in operation from Tuesday 1 March 2016. The Ryedale District Council CIL Charging Schedule, and associated documents were subject of independent examination, by Mr Philip Staddon BSc, Dip, MBA, MRTPI appointed by the Planning Inspectorate. He concluded that the Charging Schedule was appropriate and reasonable. The Examiner's report was received 14 October 2015, and was made available on the Council's Forward Planning Team's website.
