Notice Of Confirmation of a Public Path Diversion and Definitive Map and Statement Modification Order Highways Act 1980 Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981
NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL Footpath Nos. 10.35/10, 10.35/11 & 10.35/13, Dalby Carr Farm,Dalby-Cum-Skewsby Diversion Order 2014

On 1 June 2015, North Yorkshire County Council confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981. The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath described below and modify The District of Hambleton (Outside the North York Moors National Park) Definitive Map and statement accordingly.
Footpath Nos. 10.35/11 & 10.35/13, running for approximately 322 metres between
Grid References (GR) SE6447 7014 and SE6479 7020 around the south side of Dalby
Carr Farm, shall be diverted around the north side of the farm between the same points
via GR SE6452 7024 and SE6469 7032, a distance of 458 metres.
Footpath No. 10.35/10 - A 98 metre section shall be stopped up between
GR SE6452 7024 and SE6457 7015 so that the southern end of the path will terminate
at its junction with Footpath No. 10.35/11 at GR SE6452 7024.
A copy of the order as confirmed and the Order Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours Northallerton Library, North Yorkshire until 29 July 2015. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased from the WACS Admin, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton DL7 8AD at a cost of £2.00, or can be downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices. The Order comes into force on the date on which the Authority certifies, in accordance with Section 119(3)(b) of the 1980 Act, that work to the new section of path, described in part 2 of the Schedule, has been completed, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 17 June 2015, make an application to the High Court.
