Notice of Confirmation of Public Path Orders Highways Act 1980

North York Moors National Park Authority Bridleway 10 & Footpath 510 Farndale West (Horn End) Diversion Order 2013 On the 13 March 2015 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed the above order (with modifications) under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed will divert: (1) the bridleway out of the garden north-west of Horn End house between Grid References SE 6647 9554 and SE 6649 9560 into the paddock to the west, crossing a public footpath at Grid Reference SE 6647 9559 to join the unaffected bridleway from Low Mill 21 metres further north-west at Grid Reference SE 6648 9562; (2) the footpath to Horn End Cottages between Grid References SE 6649 9560 and SE 6651 9564 closer to the northern end of the new bridleway line 18 metres further west at Grid Reference SE 6649 9561and as shown on the Order map Footpath 202 Farndale West (Horn End) Extinguishment Order 2013 On 13 March 2015 the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs confirmed (without modification) the above Order under Section 118 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of the Order as confirmed will delete a spur of footpath in the garden north-west of Horn End house between Grid References SE 6648 9559 and SE 6647 9559 which becomes redundant by the diversion of a bridleway to take it out of the garden into the paddock to the west as shown on the Order map. The Extinguishment Order came into force on the 13 March 2015 A copy of the Orders and the Order maps have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Kirkbymoorside Library, Church House, 7 High Marketplace, Kirkbymoorside, York, North Yorkshire, YO62 6AT until 22 July 2015. Copies of the Orders and maps may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HG. If any person aggrieved by the above Orders wants to question their validity, or that of any provision contained within them, on the grounds that it was not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Orders, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within six weeks from 10 June 2015 make an application to the High Court.
