Notice of making of a Public Path Diversion And Definitive Map And Statement Modification Order

Diversion Order 2014

The above Order, made on 18 July 2014, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and Section 53A(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, will divert the public footpath described below and modify The Eastern Part of the County of the Former North Riding of Yorkshire Definitive Map and Statement accordingly.
Commencing at Grid Reference SE6303 7341 and running north-north-west for approximately 206 metres, then east-north-east for approximately 85 metres to Grid Reference SE6306 7362, shall be diverted onto a new route commencing at the same start point and running generally east for approximately 56 metres, then north for approximately 212 metres to the continuation of the path at Grid Reference SE6306 7362.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during library opening hours at Easingwold Library, Market Place, Easingwold, York YO61 3AN until 03 September 2014. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased there at a cost of £2.00, or can be downloaded free from our website www.northyorks.gov.uk/pathnotices.
Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Andy Hunter, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire DL7 8AD not later than 03 September 2014. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn North Yorkshire County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
