NOTICE OF MAKING OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY BRIDLEWAY 10 & FOOTPATH 510 FARNDALE WEST (HORN END) DIVERSION ORDER 2013

The above Order, made on 2 May 2013, under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert:
(1) the bridleway out of the garden north-west of Horn End house between Grid References SE 6647 9554 and SE 6649 9560 into the paddock to the west, crossing a public footpath at Grid Reference SE 6647 9559 to join the unaffected bridleway from Low Mill 21 metres further north-west at Grid Reference SE 6648 9562;

(2) the footpath to Horn End Cottages between Grid References SE 6649 9560 and SE 6651 9564 closer to the northern end of the new bridleway line 18 metres further west at Grid Reference SE

6649 9561 and
(3) the footpath at the Cottages between Grid References SE 6651 9568 and SE 6660 9571 out of their curtilage onto a new line 30 metres to the north, crossing a field access track at Grid Reference SE 6654 9571.

A concurrent Extinguishment Order will close the redundant footpath spur in Horn End garden as shown on the Order map.
Confirmation of the third element of the Diversion Order is no longer being sought.
This is a re-advertisement requested by the Secretary of State.
A copy of the Order and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Kirkbymoorside Library, Church House, 7 High Marketplace, Kirkbymoorside, York, North Yorkshire, YO62 6AT until 6 August 2014. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HG. Any representations about or objections to the Order may be sent in writing to Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HG not later than 6 August 2014 quoting the reference above. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Representations and objections have already been received and so the North York Moors National Park Authority has sent the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment Food and Rural Affairs for determination. Any additional representations or objections will be forwarded to the Secretary of State.
