NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE PROPOSED DISPOSAL OF PLAYING FIELD LAND
Section 77 School Standards and Framework Act 1998

Notice is hereby given that North Yorkshire County Council intends to apply to the Secretary of State for Education to dispose of playing field land at Sheriff Hutton Primary School. The Authority is planning to lease the playing field land to Sheriff Hutton Pre School Playgroup.
To comply with Section 77 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 the Council must consult with various interested parties and members of the public on the proposed disposal.
The area under consideration at Sheriff Hutton
Primary School is approximately 60m² and is situated off
West End, Sheriff Hutton.
The redevelopment of the area will require Sheriff Hutton Pre School Playgroup to apply for planning permission and this would be subject to a separate consultation and approval process.
Views and comments on the proposed disposal of land at Sheriff Hutton Primary School are invited in writing to the Corporate Director - Children and Young People's Service, North Yorkshire County Council, County Hall, Northallerton, North Yorkshire, DL7 8AE.
All comments and representations received before the closing date will be taken into account and reported to the Secretary of State as part of the 'Section 77' application process.
This consultation will close at 5.00pm on Wednesday 16th July 2014._
