NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF A PUBLIC PATH ORDER HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
NORTH YORK MOORS NATIONAL PARK AUTHORITY BRIDLEWAY 39 HARTOFT (ROCK HOUSE) DIVERSION ORDER 2012
On 10 May 2013, the North York Moors National Park Authority confirmed the above Order made under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert the bridleway out of the garden of Rock House on to a forest track to the north, as shown on the Order map. A concurrent Creation Order has established a new bridleway link along a stone forest road to the south.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at Pickering Library, The Ropery, Pickering, North Yorkshire, YO18 8DY until 22 August 2013. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased at a reasonable cost by contacting the Director of Democratic & Legal Services, Scarborough Borough Council, Town Hall, St Nicholas Street, Scarborough, North Yorkshire, YO11 2HG. The Order came into force on 10 May 2013 but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may, under paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from 10 July 2013, make an application to the High Court.
