ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED) PUBLIC FOOTPATH 305 PARK GATE NEWBRIDGE PICKERING (BLANSBY PARK LANE) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS ORDER 2013 The North York Moors National Park Authority has made an Order, the effect of which prohibits any pedestrian from proceeding along Pickering Public Footpath 305 in the District of Ryedale from the bridleway junction east of Park Gate Grid Reference SE 8089 8583 generally east up Newton Dale for 1692 metres to the point where the footpath turns south at Grid Reference SE 8239 8620. The Order is necessary due to a danger to the public during the transportation of clay to form a reservoir. The Order came into operation on 07 March 2013 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding six months, or until the proposed work has been carried out, whichever is the sooner. The closure will be put into effect when necessary by means of the erection of notices and signs. The expected duration of the works is 4 months during the above timescale. Access to land served by the way is to be retained. The alternative route to be used during the closure period will be as follows:- From point of closure at Park Gate Grid Reference SE 8089 8583 generally south-west along Blansby Park Lane U243/2, for 711 metres to Newbridge at Grid Reference SE 8030 8546 then south-west along the C66 for 300 metres to Grid Reference SE 8021 8520, generally east-north-east for 320 metres along footpath No.25.73/61/1 and 2469 metres along footpath No.25.73/61/2 up Newton Dale to the northern end of Little Park Wood to a footbridge at Grid Reference SE 8240 8613 and north for 60 metres on footpath Nos. 25.73/63/1 and 531305 to cross the river and the railway to the point of closure at Grid Reference SE 8239 8620 and return.
