A NEW agricultural show in North Yorkshire hopes to bring together the community.
The Rosedale, Bake, Make and Grow show will take place on Saturday (August 20) from 1pm to 4pm at Church Turret Field in Rosedale Abbey.
It has been organised by the Rosedale Abbey committee as a scaled down alternative to the popular Rosedale Show, after organisers took the decision to not go ahead with this year’s event due to fears over Covid.
Included in the day’s schedule at the Rosedale. Bake, Make and Grow show are 48 classes for vegetables, flowers, baking, crafts, and a children’s section.
There are already over 260 entries for the show.
“This is fantastic for such a small community,“ said the show’s entries secretary, Stephanie Myers.
Alongside the entries there will be plants and produce stalls, displays from the Rosedale History Society, a raffle, children’s activities and games.
Teas and refreshment will also be available at the church alongside the show.
Stephanie Myers, described the event as a “home grown show to get the community involved.”
She said: “We realised there wasn’t enough of us for a normal show.
“We want to get the community together to see what we can do.”
