FIRE crews were called to a car fire in Scarborough at about 4.30am yesterday.
Six people reported the incident, which happened in the Sandybed area of the town, and involved a Vauxhall Zafira.
A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire & Rescie Service said the fire started in the boot compartment of the car and caused about 30 per cent damage to the vehicle.
The cause of the fire was not yet known.
