A COMBINE harvester caught fire in a barn in Rillington yesterday.
Fire crews from Malton and Pickering stations were called to the scene at 5.15pm.
The fire caused 75 per cent fire damage to the engine compartment and "slight charring" to the roof of the barn.
Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet.
Separately, a fire crew from Malton was called to Broughton Road in Malton just before 10pm last night.
Someone had reported a shed on fire - but on arrival crews found it was controlled burning under supervision and so no action was required.
