A LARGE barn is alight in North Yorkshire, with fire crews expecting it to take days to burn out.
The barn is reportedly 20 metres square and filled with oil seed rape and round straw bales.
Fire crews got the call at at about 7.50am and were on site soon after.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said that the barn, which is between Malton and Menethorpe, is remote and so crews have decided to allow it to burn out, such is its scale.
They said the crews will stay on site and watch it burn out, they anticipate it will take a few days.
The service have warned that there 'may be smoke in Malton' while it burns.
