AROUND 70 geese, ducks and chickens have been rescued after firefighters tackled a large shed fire.
Two crews from Scarborough and Filey attended the "large chicken shed" which was ablaze.
The crews were called out just before 1pm to the shed fire, situated on Church Hill in the village of Reighton, south of Filey.
The shed was reportedly 50 square metres in size.
North Yorkshire Fire Service reported at around 2.20 pm that the fire was extinguished. A fire service spokesperson said that the fire was started accidentally.
