SCARBOROUGH'S first drive-in cinema is opening at Crossgates, Seamer, with a showing of Grease on Friday, July 24, followed by Dirty Dancing on the 25th, and Jaws on the 26th.
The town's first drive-in cinema will give a cinema experience that people can enjoy from the comfort of their own cars, with sound provided through the vehicle's FM radio and with drinks and popcorn delivered to the vehicle's window.
All three initial shows start at 9.30pm with the gate opening 45 minutes beforehand.
Tickets are per car, £18 if pre-booked on the website, or £20 on the gate. Directions will be available on the website and signage will be placed on the approach roads.
Founded by Scarborough entrepreneur Ben Stonehouse, the start-up business has a 4K digital cinema projector and the largest temporary screen in the country and has created seven new jobs.
Moonlight Drive-in Cinema has had support from Welcome to Yorkshire’s Gary Verity.
Tickets will be available at moonlightcinema.com from 9am on July 1.
